The Cobourg Police Service (CPS) bi-weekly update provides an overview of break and enters, theft from motor vehicles, mischief, and other crime trends in the Town of Cobourg over two

For more information, an operational report is provided to the Cobourg Police Services Board every month. The operational report offers an overview of activity at CPS, including calls for service, crime trends, investigations, community outreach, and collaborative efforts. From February 26 to March 10, 2024, CPS responded to 508 calls for service.

• Break and enter: One (1) commercial – Division Street

• Theft from vehicles: One (1) William Street

• Distraction Thefts: none for this time frame

• Mischief: One (1) Brook Road South

• Fraud: Three (3) fraud reports, including counterfeit bills and insurance fraud

From March 11 to 24, 2024, CPS responded to 465 calls for service.

• Break and enter: Two (2) – Spring Street and University Street, Elgin Street West (one residential, one commercial)

• Theft from vehicles: none for this time frame

• Distraction Thefts: none for this time frame

• Mischief: Two (2) – Ontario Street and King Street, Densmore Road

• Fraud: Two (2) reports of investment fraud
