Peterborough County OPP – Head-On Collision Closes Highway 507

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews are currently at the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision that occurred on County Road 507 between County Road 36 and Mississauga Dam Road.

At approximately 11:55 am, the Peterborough County OPP received a call reporting a serious collision on County Road 507. Officer s arrived on scene to a head-on collision involving a northbound courier vehicle and a southbound SUV passenger vehicle. As a result of the collision, the 24-year-old male driver of the SUV passenger vehicle was airlifted by ORNGE Air to a Toronto area trauma centre for treatment of undetermined injuries.

County road 507 remains closed but is anticipated too re-open shortly.

Please remain away from the area and plan alternate routes until further notice.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
