City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision

Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single vehicle collision which occurred last night, March 25, 2024 at approximately 10:23 p.m. on County Road 36 just north of Settlers Road.

Police along with fire and EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle collision. The driver of the motor vehicle, a 32-year-old male of Dunsford, was pronounced deceased at scene.

County Road 36 was closed for several hours while membe rs trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed or has video/dash camera footage of the collision and has not spoken with police is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
