Belleville Police Service – Father Son Dispute at Construction Site

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 63 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on March 19, 2024 to 5:00 am on March 20, 2024.

On the 19th of March at 4:20pm, officers attended a construction site in the city’s east end regarding a disturbance where two employees were engaged in a physical fight.

Upon arrival, police spoke to the site supervisor and the parties involved in the altercation.

Police learned that a 40-year-old male from Oshawa and his 18-year-old son, also from Oshawa, were both working at the same job site when they became engaged in a verbal argument however it became heated and led to the physical fight.

Following the investigation, the 40-year-old father was cautioned regarding an assault.

Police assisted the son in securing a ride back to Oshawa for the evening so the father and son did not have to travel together.

No further police action was required.
