Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Mischief, Resisting Peace Officer (No Name Released)

A 31-year-old Cobourg man is facing mischief charges following an incident Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, police responded to a mischief call at a business in the area of Ontario Street and King Street in Cobourg. Police were advised that a male who attended the business to access computer services became agitated and knocked a computer to the ground.

Police identified a suspect and located him in the downtown core on Thursday, March 14, 2024. The male resisted arrest and attempted to run from the police.

As a result of the police investigation, the 31-year-old Cobourg resident was charged with Mischief under $5,000 and resisting a peace officer.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
