Cobourg Police – Bones Found Not Human

The Cobourg Police Service confirms that a bone found in the Town of Cobourg is not human.

This afternoon, Cobourg Police Service was called to a construction site in the area of George Street and University Avenue for a report of a located bone. Police held the scene while forensic identification was conducted. Police confirmed the bone was not human.

Police have cleared the area, and there is no risk to public safety.
