Cobourg Police – Warming Hub Resident Charged with Assault/Mischief (No Name Given)

A 26-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police responded to a disturbance Monday morning.

On Monday, March 11, 2024, at approximately 7:35 a.m., police were called to a disturbance at an address in the area of King Street and College Street in Cobourg.

Staff reported that an individual became verbally aggressive when asked to leave. The individual broke a folding chair and spit at a staff member multiple times.

As a result of the police investigation, a 26-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with assault, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with an undertaking.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and remanded into custody.
