Annual Report showcases 2023 -2028 strategy and advances in economic development and innovation
The Town of Cobourg Economic Development Department is pleased to announce the second annual report for Economic Development and the Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre.
Cobourg’s Economic Development department is focused on addressing the creation of more local jobs in the town’s industrial and downtown commercial areas. The economic development team enables a sustainable economy that provides employment opportunities that enhance the quality of life for its business community and residents. The 2023 Economic Development and Venture Annual Report profiles the 2023-2028 strategy and showcases the 2023 programming and success stories of Cobourg’s business community as well as achievements regarding investment attraction, marketing and promotion and partnerships.
This annual report also serves as a tool to communicate Cobourg as a destination for investment for future investors and business prospects.
“Cobourg’s second annual Economic Development and Venture13 report is thanks to the hard work and dedication of our economic development and Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre team. The team has taken great strides over the past year to advance the economic development program and the resources they provide to our business community,” said Mayor Lucas Cleveland. “Their successes can be seen in our culture, heritage and business support programming in our downtown core and our active development projects in the Lucas Point Industrial Park. On behalf of all of Council we are grateful to them for their continued dedication to our thriving community.”
The second annual Economic Development and Venture13 report is part of the Town of Cobourg’s continued commitment to providing improved information sharing of the Economic Development department and the Venture13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre.
