Municipality of Brighton Hires New CAO

The Municipality of Brighton has successfully completed the recruitment of a new Chief Administrative Officer. Elana Arthurs will be joining the Municipality of Brighton as its new CAO, effective April 8, 2024.

As an experienced professional Elana comes to Brighton with over 15 years of municipal experience, most recently as the CAO in the Township of Douro-Dummer.

She holds a Certified Municipal Officer (CMO) and an Accredited Ontario Municipal Clerk (AOMC) designation and is a recognized leader with AMCTO as she completes her final year on the Board of Directors in the role of Immediate Past President.

Combined with her exemplary leadership skills, wealth of knowledge in change management and strategic initiative implementation she has proven ability to develop a strong corporate culture and lead a team of productive and dedicated employees.

Ms. Arthurs is looking forward to starting a new chapter in Brighton.

Current CAO Bob Casselman will be completing his contract on April 5, 2024, to ensure a seamless transition.
