Kawartha Lakes OPP – Male Found Drinking in Detachment Parking Lot (Name Released)

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation during an interaction at the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment on February 17, 2024.

On February 17, 2024 at approximately 5:44 pm, officers commenced an impaired driving investigation with a driver of a motor vehicle after they arrived at the detachment to charge the electric battery on their motor vehicle.

Jordan AHEEN 39 years old of Peterborough was charged with:

  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand
  • Having Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Liquor

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The motor vehicles was towed and impounded for 7 days.
