Central Hastings OPP – Drug Search Warrants Executed in Marmora

On the 01st of February 2024, members of the East Region Community Street Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit, and members of the Central Hastings OPP Detachment executed two search warrants in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.

As a result of the search warrants, four individuals were arrested in two separate residences, and a fifth male was located shortly afterwards on foot.

Christopher BEACH, 41 years old and Jacqueline FOWLER, 65 years old, both of Marmora Ontario have been charged with:

·        Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and

·        Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.

Kimberly RANGER, 52 years old, Kenneth BRACKER, 54 years old and Heather SMITH, 65 years old all of Marmora Ontario have been charged with:

·        Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking and

·        Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000.

RANGER and BRACKEN were additionally charged with another count of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

BEACH, BRACKEN and RANGER were held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on February 2, 2024.

FOWLER and SMITH were released with conditions to attend at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on February 22, 2024.
