Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Mischief and Failing to Comply (No Name Released)

A 39-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after an investigation into a report of property damage.

On January 3, 2024, police received a report of damage to property landscaping (trees and shrubbery) at a residence in the area of James Street and John Street that took place on December 26, 2023. A person of interest was identified with the assistance of CCTV camera footage.

As a result of the police investigation, on January 31, 2024, the 39-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with mischief and failure to comply with a probation order.

The man is being held in custody for a bail hearing.
