Northumberland OPP – Driver Arrested with Stolen Vehicle (Name Released)

Stolen vehicle recovered by the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On December 29, 2023, at approximately 5:38 a.m., the Northumberland OPP received a report of a possible stolen vehicle travelling eastbound towards Port Hope on Highway 401.

Officers located the vehicle and confirmed that it had been stolen. Police were able to bring the vehicle safely to a stop and conducted an arrest of the driver.

Xavier AUDATE, 27-years-old, from Quebec was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
