Northumberland OPP – Charges Laid in Separate Intimate Partner Investigations

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police arrested two individuals in unrelated intimate partner investigations over the long weekend.

On December 23, 2023 at approximately 9:45 p.m., OPP arrested an individual as a result of an investigation involving threats on December 20, 2023 in Hamilton Township.

A 44-year-old male from Hamilton Township has been charged with:

  • Criminal Harassment – threatening conduct
  • Uttering Threats – cause death or bodily harm.

On December 24, 2023 at approximately 8:10 p.m., OPP were dispatched to a report of assault at a property in the Municipality of Port Hope.

A 52-year-old female from the Municipality of Port Hope has been charged with:

  • Assault – spousal.
