Cobourg Police – Cobourg Man Charged with Impaired (No Name Released)

A 34-year-old Cobourg man was charged with driving impaired after police conducted a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.

On Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at 2:20 a.m., police received a call for a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Rogers Road and Elgin Street West. Police located the vehicle in the area of Burnham Street and Westwood Drive.

A traffic stop was initiated, and police spoke to the driver who exhibited signs of impairment by alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with impaired operation and impaired operation – Over 80.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date scheduled for January 3, 2023.
