Update – Video – Cobourg Police – Two Men Arrested Provided False Identification

Police confirm that the two men arrested as a result of a theft investigation on Tuesday provided false identification to police.

On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at approximately 9:30 a.m., police responded to a business parking lot on Strathy Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle where the occupants were believed to be involved in a theft from a neighbouring business. As a result, two men and a woman were arrested and charged with numerous offences.

Subsequent police investigations revealed that the two male accused provided false identification to police.

The confirmed identities of the two men are Gurpiar SINGH (26) and Manvir SINGH (25).

The two men previously named are victims of identity theft. This investigation remains ongoing, and further charges are pending.
