Cobourg Police – Hamilton Township Man Charged with Criminal Harassment (No Name Released)

A 24-year-old Hamilton Township man is facing charges after police received a report of harassment.

On December 5, 2023, police received a call regarding ongoing harassment between former friends.

The complainant reported several incidents, including a recent incident where the friend, who was driving at a high rate of speed, refused to let the complainant out of the vehicle after several requests. The driver eventually stopped the vehicle, and the female was able to leave.

As a result of the police investigation, a 24-year-old Hamilton Township man was arrested and charged with three counts of Criminal Harassment and Forcible Confinement.

The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
