Town of Cobourg Fire Department Seeking Volunteer Firefighters

In City Hall

Recruitment Open House Scheduled for November 18 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

The Town of Cobourg Fire Department is seeking interested members of the community to join their volunteer fire team.

The Cobourg Fire Department is comprised of both full-time and volunteer firefighters. Although the position is referred to as volunteer, members of the volunteer fire crew receive remuneration for their service. The job requires commitment, devotion, compassion and above all, a desire to serve your community.

New volunteer fire recruits will participate in the department’s comprehensive training program as well as any additional or ongoing training that the department receives.

Drop into the Recruitment Open House:
Interested members of the community are welcome to drop into the recruitment Open House on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Participants will meet Fire Chief, Ellard Beaven and Deputy
Chief, Kevin Ashfield and learn more about the role from members of the Cobourg fire service.

Date: Saturday, November 18, 2023

Time: Drop-in between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Location: Cobourg Fire Hall, 111 Elgin St. East
