Smashing Success for Port Hope Pumpkin Parade

In News

The 5th Annual Pumpkin Parade took place on Lent Lane in Port Hope on November 1, 2023.

The event officially puts Halloween behind us for another year with over 500 pumpkins lined up along the route.  The annual event gives people a chance to show their artistic pumpkins for everyone to see.

At the end of the evening, pumpkins were gathered up by local farmers to use as feed. Any remaining pumpkins are composted courtesy of our community partner Harnden Haulage, which is facilitated by the Municipality of Port Hope each year.

Also this year was a 360° photo booth, a Not-so-spooky illuminations projected onto the Little Station and CN Railway teamed up with Hope Community Church to provide a complimentary hot chocolate and treat to warm your hands while you walk along the lane to view all the pumpkins.

The Rose Quest was also be on site collecting donations of leftover Halloween Candy and/or Personal Care Products for their student and senior holiday stocking programs.
