Port Hope Panthers Move Into First Place with Seven Straight Wins

The Port Hope Panthers won their sixth straight Provincial Junior C Hockey League game Saturday night, doubling up the visiting Napanee Raiders 4-2 at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.

Nate Burelle scored twice including one power play goal and an empty netter to secure the victory. Spencer Eriksson and Oz Paziuk tallied the other Port Hope goals. 

Monday night, Carter Chadwick scored 1:17 into overtime to give the Port Hope Panthers a 3-2 win over the Frankford Huskies last night at the Jack Burger Sports Complex.

It was the seventh straight win for the Panthers and moved them into first place in the Tod Division, one point ahead of the Huskies.

Port Hope led twice in regulation time with Ben Hansen and Eriksson scoring those goals. 

The Panthers head to Napanee on Friday night before hosting Amherstview on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
