Exclusive – Police Arrest Suspect Involved in Theft of Clothing from Jack Burger Sports Complex

Port Hope Police say they have arrested a suspect involved in the theft of clothing from the Jack Burger Sports Complex.

Police began their investigation in May when clothes were stolen from the swimming pool change rooms at the Sports Complex.

Port Hope Police confirmed that on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 a youth was arrested regarding the thefts/

Items stolen were specific to underwear/undergarments.  As a result of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at a Port Hope residence where a number of undergarments were recovered.

Members of the Criminal Investigations Branch and uniformed members were involved in the investigation.

A youth is charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and property obtained by crime.

Police ensure there is no risk to the public.

Police also want to thank the public for their assistance.
