Cobourg Police – Auxiliary Recruitment Information Session

Cobourg Police Service (CPS) is holding a general information session on Thursday, October 26 at 6:00 p.m. for auxiliary recruitment. The hybrid session is offered virtually or in person.

The CPS auxiliary unit works alongside sworn officers and special constables in a volunteer capacity.

Collectively, the auxiliary team gives more than 4,000 hours of their time each year. The auxiliary unit’s primary responsibilities include crime prevention initiatives (eg. Lock It or Lose It, Car Seat Clinics, CPTED property audits), community response initiatives, proactive patrols, and event support.

CPS is recruiting new auxiliary members, and the recruitment period runs until November 17th, 2023. Those interested in learning more about the role and duties of a CPS auxiliary member are invited to attend an information session on October 26th.
