Cobourg Police – Warrants/Fail to Comply (No Names Released)

A 38-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman from the Durham Region face charges of failing to comply with their undertakings.

On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, police on general patrol near King Street and Green Street observed two adults walking together. The male was known to be on release conditions, not to communicate with the female.

Police investigation revealed that the male was also wanted on two outstanding warrants in the first instance for failing to abide by release conditions. As a result, both were arrested.

The 42-year-old woman was charged with failure to comply with the conditions of an undertaking and released on an undertaking with a future court date.

The 38-year-old man was charged with failure to comply with an undertaking, held in custody for a bail hearing and later released by the courts.
