Cobourg Police – Two Cobourg Residents Charged with Theft (No Names Released)

Two Cobourg residents are facing charges after police responded to a report of theft from a business on Sunday afternoon.

On Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 2:37 p.m., police received a report of theft from a business in the north of Cobourg. Staff informed police two individuals were trying to get a refund for merchandise stolen from the store.

Police located two individuals matching the description provided.

As a result of the investigation, a 45-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman from Cobourg were arrested and both charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Both were released on an undertaking with future court dates.
