In Weather

Local resident took his powered hydro-foil for a spin around the Cobourg Harbour on Saturday evening.

Mike Jakic launched the craft from his sailboat docked at Cobourg Harbour and enjoyed himself on the battery operated watercraft.

The used watercraft cost nearly $12,000, but new costs upwards of $20,000.

Jakic said it’s amazing and can go up to 50 kph.

“It’s fun and the best thing about it, it leaves no carbon footprint.”
