Peterborough County OPP – Indecent Exposure Charge on Rice Lake (Name Released)

One person has been charged for committing an indecent act on Rice Lake in the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan.

On August 4, 2023, shortly after 4:00 p.m., members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an individual exposing themself and conducting an indecent act on a boat in view of two female youths on Rice Lake.

< span style=”background-color: white; color: black;”>Upon arrival, officers were provided a description of the individual and their boat. With the assistance of a civilian, officers were able to locate the boat and placed the individual under arrest.

As a result, Blaine MURO, 56 years old of Orno, has been charged with:

  • Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16 Years of Age

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 5, 2023.
