Cobourg Police Three People Facing Charges of Assault (No Names Released)

Three people face charges after police responded to an incident early Sunday morning.

On Sunday, July 2, 2023, at 12:55 a.m., police were called to the area of King Street West and Spring Street for a report of a disturbance.

Police arrived on scene and observed a group of individuals fighting in the middle of the road. Two individuals were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Cobourg man, a 39-year-old Colborne man, and a 19-year-old Port Hope woman were arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Contrary to Section 267(b) of the Criminal Code.

All three were released on an undertaking with a future court date.
