Northumberland OPP Investigating “Incident” at Warkworth Institution

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an incident that occurred at the Warkworth Institution that has left an individual with serious injuries.

On May 28, 2023, shortly after 7:00 p.m., the Northumberland OPP received information regarding an incident that took place at the Warkworth Institution located in Trent Hills.

The Northumberland OPP Crime Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).

Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact the Northumberland OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000. You can also submit information online at www.stopcrimehere.ca.
