Durham Regional Police – Three Suspects Arrested After Attempting to Flee from Police (Names Released)

Three suspects from Quebec have been arrested after attempting to flee from police.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of Central West Division were proactively patrolling in the area of Consumers Drive and Hopkins Street, in Whitby when they came across a suspicious vehicle. A traffic stop was attempted and the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, and travelled south onto a dead-end street. The suspect vehicle made contact with a cruiser and came to a stop. Three suspects exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A short foot pursuit was initiated and the suspects were taken into custody.

 

Adnane KIDIA, age 19, of Quebec is charged with: Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance; Fail to Stop for Police; Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence; Possession of Automobile Master Key; Possess Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Samy MAHAMED, age 20, of Quebec is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime over $5000; Possess Automobile Master Key; Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence and Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Dariush KABIRINAEINI, age 20, of Quebec is charged with: Fail to Comply with Release Order x3; Possess Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 and Possess Automobile Master Key.

 

All were held for bail hearings.
