Quinte West OPP – Brighton Resident Charged with Theft and Unauthorized Use of Credit Card (Name Released)

The Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with theft.

On May 3, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a business on County Road 64, Quinte West for a report of stolen credit card, that had been fraudulently used at several locations throughout Trenton and Brighton. An investigation led to a person being arrested.

Carolyn HODGINS, 33 years old from Brighton, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Theft of credit card
  • Unauthorized use of credit card – nine counts
  • Fail to comply with Probation – two counts

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 29, 2023
