Cobourg Public Library to Hold Houseplant Swap

In Upcoming Events

Cobourg Public Library is hosting a drop-in houseplant swap where people can pick up an indoor plant, share cuttings of their own, or drop off a plant they no longer need.

The Houseplant Swap will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25th in the Cobourg Public Library’s Rotary Room and is open to everyone. Special guest and community partners, Just Brew It, will be there, serving delicious and free warm beverages.

People can also get free vegetable, flower, fruit, and herb seeds from Cobourg Public Library’s Seed Library, located in the Main Branch, along with the Alice D. Behan Bewdley and Gores Landing Branches. Patrons can check out free seeds, as they would a book, and return any harvested seeds at the end of the season.

“We’re excited to be able to connect our community over their love of plants not only through our Houseplant Swap which has become an annual event but our Seed Library which has carried on for eight (8) years thanks to our generous community of gardeners,” says Cobourg Public Library CEO, Tammy Robinson.
