City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Male Arrested for Theft and Possession of Drugs (No Name Released)

On Thursday February 23, 2023 the Kawartha Lakes Police Service received complaints from two Kent Street West businesses reporting a shoplifter.

While attending the first location, police received a second call reporting a theft, by a male fitting the same description.

Officers attended the area, located and arrested the suspect for theft.

At the time of his arrest the accused was found in possession of stolen property and drugs.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Courtice male has been charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 and possession of a schedule I substance.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on March 30, 2023.
