Durham Regional Police – Double Homicide in Bowmanville

Investigators are currently on scene at a residential home in Bowmanville for Durham Region’s third homicide investigation of 2023.

 

On Saturday, February 4, 2023, at approximately 2:15 p.m., members of East Division responded to an address on Crombie Street after receiving a call to check on the well-being of the occupants of the home.  Police arrived on scene and located two deceased adults suffering from obvious signs of trauma. Members from Forensic Investigative Services were called to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation. 


The coroner has attended and ordered an autopsy. 

 

The Homicide Unit has now taken over this investigation and are asking for anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam and home surveillance, to please contact police.

 

The two deceased are the third and fourth victims of homicide in Durham Region in 2023.
