City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Robbery Arrest (Name Released)

A 31-year-old Lindsay man is facing charges after a robbery at a local business Monday morning.

At approximately 11:00am on January 30, 2023, officers were made aware of an incident at a business on Kent Street West. Officer learned that a male was in the store and appeared to be taking items without paying. During the incident an employee was assaulted before the suspect fled. With the assistance of video surveillance officers identified the suspect who was located and arrested.

Minor injuries were reported.

As a result of an investigation, 31-year-old Mark English of Lindsay has been charged with robbery with violence and fail to comply with probation order X2. The accused was held in custody and is schedule to appear in court today, January 31, 2023.
