City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Assault Arrest (Name Released)

At approximately 3:30pm on Monday January 30, 2023, Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a business on Kent Street West in Lindsay.

It was reported, a male had been observed by store employee concealing items in his clothing.

As a result, the male was asked to leave the store.

The male walked towards the exit and before exiting, turned and spat on the employee.

With the assistance of video surveillance police identified and arrested the male on January 31, 2023.

40-year-old David Grozelle of Lindsay has been charged with assault.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on March 9, 2023.
