Town of Cobourg Launches Third and Final Phase of Community Engagement for Integrated Community Sustainability Plan

In City Hall

Community invited to view the walk-through video to learn more about the draft plan

The Town of Cobourg welcomes all community members to get involved in the third and final phase of community engagement for the Integrated Community Sustainability Plan (ICSP).

The Town of Cobourg is grateful to all residents who have contributed to the development of the draft ICSP. Regardless of your level of involvement in the first two phases, all members of the community are invited to view a walk-through video of the draft plan to learn more about the strategic objectives and draft implementation framework. The third phase of engagement then invites the community to provide their level of support of the key actions outlined in the plan.

The ICSP was prepared to help realize the aims of the climate emergency resolution and preceding Town plans. The plan includes actions that both the community and Town of Cobourg staff will take to build on existing environmental progress and advance new measures to respond to the climate emergency.

In this final survey, Engage Cobourg participants are asked to review key goals outlined in the plan and give input on their level of support as well as any interest in participating in select actions. The survey and corresponding feedback will inform the direction of the final ICSP.

Though this planning process for the ICSP is anticipated to conclude in the first quarter of 2023, there will be many more opportunities to support sustainability in Cobourg and provide feedback during the upcoming plan implementation period running from 2023 to 2026.

For more information and to provide input on phase three of the ICSP, visit the Town of Cobourg community engagement platform, EngageCobourg.ca The survey will be live until December 16, 2022.
