(HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene investigating a serious all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision that occurred on Fire Route 82, north of Havelock at approximately 12:00 p.m. this afternoon.
The victim collided with a tree while travelling on their ATV. The victim was airlifted to a Kingston area hospital with serious injuries.
Members trained in collision reconstruction are attending to measure and document the scene.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has video footage and has not yet spoken with police is asked to contact the Peterborough County OPP Detachment at 705-742-0401 or 1-888-310-1122.
