Durham Police – Suspect from Cobourg Charged with Several Theft and Fraud Related Offences

A suspect is facing numerous charges after several unoccupied vehicles were entered at different golf courses in the Durham Region.

 

Since the start of spring, an unknown suspect had entered more than 20 vehicles that were parked at golf courses across Durham Region. Numerous items were stolen from each vehicle. The Durham Regional Police has worked in cooperation with other GTA agencies and have now been able to identify and charge a 30-year-old male in relation to some of those incidents.

 

Roderick NEWMAN, age 30 of Cobourg, is facing numerous charges which include: Theft Under $5000 x6; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x5; Mischief Under x6; Unauthorized Use of Credit Card x2; Personation to Gain Advantage x3; Fraud Under x3.

 

He was released on an Undertaking.
