There were no injuries following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 401 at Port Hope on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
At approximately 11 a.m. a SUV travelling eastbound, just east of the Cranberry Road overpass, lost control and started to hydroplane due to heavy rain at the time.
The SUV collided with a wall along the shoulder of the highway and numerous vehicles tried to avoid the original collision collided.
At least four transports were involved.
There were no injuries, but eastbound lanes of Highway 401 in the area were closed until the vehicles were removed.
Several of the vehicles were towed to a car lot in Port Hope to have reports taken on the incident.
