City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service – Shoplifter Arrested

On April 11, 2022 at 2:46pm the Kawartha Lakes Police were called to a Kent Street West business in Lindsay by staff reporting a male had left the store with merchandise that was not purchased.

When police arrived, they continued the arrest.

During the investigation, the male was found to be in possession of store merchandise and a bicycle reported stolen on April 8th during separate occurrence.

At the time of his arrest the male was wanted on a warrant. 32-year-old Allan Gouin of Lindsay is charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 X2 and failing to attend court.

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice, located at 440 Kent Street West in Lindsay on May 19, 2022.
