Peterborough County OPP – Traffic Complaint Leads to Charges

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Chemong Road at approximately 9:30am yesterday morning. The complainant advised that a vehicle was driving erratically and almost collided with several other vehicles. The vehicle was located at a gas station in the City of Peterborough. The driver was found to be suspended from driving and in possession of illicit drugs.

Adam WEST (age 39) of Norfolk County, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance-methamphetamine

• Dangerous operation

• Driving while under suspension

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on April 7, 2022.
