Cobourg Police – Man Charged with Mischief (No Name Released)

Man charged with mischief after police responded to a disturbance downtown Cobourg.

On Sunday, February 27, 2022, police on general patrol observed two individuals causing a disturbance at a downtown business. Police determined that a fight had occurred between two individuals, and there was damage to personal property.

As a result of the police investigation, a 53-year-old Cobourg man was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Mischief Under $5000 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code

2. Fail to Comply with Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code

The man was released on an Undertaking with a court date of March 30, 2022.
