One Hour Free Parking Offered in Downtown Cobourg

The Town of Cobourg and the Cobourg Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA) are pleased to be offering an extra hour of free parking for those shopping downtown, in effect until December 31, 2021.

To further encourage both residents and visitors alike to shop and support downtown businesses the Town of Cobourg and Cobourg DBIA annually provide an additional hour of free paid parking within any downtown metered streets or municipal parking lots during the month of December.

“On behalf of the Town of Cobourg and the DBIA we are pleased to be providing an extra hour of free paid parking to encourage our residents and visitors to shop and support our local businesses,” said Mayor John Henderson. “Enjoy the holidays, shop locally and have a wonderful downtown experience.”

Visitors to the downtown are reminded that the downtown street meters are $1/hour and that any expired meters will be given a one-hour grace period by the Town of Cobourg’s Bylaw Enforcement Officers. Vehicles parked longer than the one-hour grace period will be subject to parking tickets.

Mayor John Henderson, Town Council and the Cobourg DBIA encourage everyone to take advantage of this offer to support the local business economy.
