Cobourg Council – Annual Downtown Parking Gift is Back

In City Hall

By Cecilia Nasmith/Today’s Northumberland
Cobourg’s downtown businesses welcome you during the holiday season – and thanks to a vote at Monday’s committee-of-the-whole council meeting, that will be easier than ever.

The Downtown Business Improvement Area usually rings in December by sponsoring free one-hour parking downtown.

The tradition will continue, with Cobourg Councillor Adam Bureau’s motion for the DBIA and the Town of Cobourg to partner up on the one-hour grace period that runs from Dec. 1 through Dec. 31 to encourage shopping and dining downtown during this second COVID holiday season.
