Cobourg Police – Woman Arrested on Warrant

On November 2, 2021, police were on routine patrol when they observed a woman sought by Cobourg Police Service on an outstanding warrant for arrest.

As a result of the subsequent investigation, Desiree IRWIN, a 30-year-old woman from Cobourg, was arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Aggravated assault contrary to section 268 of the Criminal Code

2. Failure to comply with release order contrary to section 145(5)(a) Criminal Code

3. Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.00 contrary to section 355(b) Criminal Code

The warrant was endorsed for her release, and she was later released on an undertaking with a future court date
