Cobourg Releases Draft 2022 Municipal Operating and Capital Budget

In City Hall

The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents that the Draft 2022 Municipal Operating and Capital Budget has now been released and is available online for public input and feedback.

Residents are reminded that the Draft 2022 Municipal Operating and Capital Budget documents released today represent the first phase of the budget process and are not considered final until approved at the Regular Council Meeting on December 13, 2021.

The 2022 Draft Municipal Operating and Capital Budget can be found on the Town of Cobourg’s website (www.cobourg.ca/budget) with feedback and input available through the Town of Cobourg’s online public engagement platform, Engage Cobourg (www.engagecobourg.ca).

“I strongly encourage residents and business owners to provide feedback on the Draft 2022 Municipal Operating and Capital Budget in time for deliberations during our Special Budget Council Session in November,” said Suzanne Séguin, Deputy Mayor for the Town of Cobourg. “As we prepare to re-establish priority services coming out of the pandemic, we will also be focusing on our core values while containing costs and implementing best practices. Town staff are working hard to establish departmental priorities while continuing to deliver on the services that matter most to taxpayers.”

Residents are encouraged to provide input and share feedback on the Town of Cobourg’s Draft 2022 Municipal Operating and Capital Budget by completing the Financial Framework Survey and providing input through the Open Forum on Engage Cobourg before the deadline of Friday, November 5, 2021.
