Update – Port Hope Police – Man Succumbs to Injuries From Fall

Port Hope Police stated on Thursday that a man who had fallen from a bridge on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre has died.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. emergency services were called to the area of Peter Street and Mill Street after a man fell from the viaduct bridge and struck a vehicle.

The two people in the vehicle weren’t injured.

The man was rushed to hospital in Cobourg and airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre where he died Wednesday evening.

The area was closed while members of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators examined the scene.

Port Hope Police are continuing their investigation.
