Peterborough County OPP – Stunt Drivers Charged

Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed two vehicles racing at high speeds on Lansdowne Street West at approximately 10:00pm on July 30, 2021. Officers were able to stop one of the suspect vehicles.

The 22 year old driver of Hamilton Township, Ontario was charged with: 

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for seven days and vehicle impounded for fourteen days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 13, 2021.

(CAVAN-MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP)-On July 30, 2021 members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol on Highway 115.

Shortly after 11:45pm, an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 160km/h in a posted 100km/h zone.

The 30 year old driver of Kitchener, Ontario was charged with:

• Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

The accused had their driver’s licence suspended for seven days and vehicle impounded for fourteen days.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 13, 2021.
