Cobourg Council – Support Cobourg Police Chief’s Big Ride

In City Hall

Councillor Aaron Burchat urges members of the community to support Cobourg Police Chief Paul VandeGraaf in his fundraiser for Rebound Child and Youth Services Northumberland.

It’s a 90-km. bike ride that is expected to take place June 12 to raise funds and awareness of the agency, with VandeGraaf and eight other riders participating.

The goal is to raise $20,000, Burchat said, and the event has had several roadblocks and date changes due to COVID-19. But the need continues, he said.

“$25 provides a youth with homework help for a month, $50 gives a child the chance to participate in programming for a month, $150 provides a child or youth with one-one-one consulting services,” he listed.

“Anyone who wants to donate, check Rebound Child and Youth Services Northumberland and support the chief in his goal.”
