Northumberland OPP Seize Large Quantity of Cash and Drugs from Vehicle

Northumberland OPP seized a large quantity of cash and illegal drugs after responding to a medical emergency in Hamilton Township on Friday, April 23, 2021.


Shortly after 11 am emergency services responded to a vehicle pulled over to the side of the road on Meyers Road just east of County Road 45.


A person in the vehicle was in medical distress and was taken to hospital to be treated.


Inside the vehicle police found a large quantity of money, illegal drugs a prohibited weapon, cell phones, drug paraphernalia and a imitation firearm.


The vehicle was towed from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
